“Our daughter LOVES The Animal In Me and I do too! She is a book lover and will grab this book often and want to sit on my lap to read it. The animal pictures are beautiful and the background graphics are very bright and engaging. The seal, moose and polar bear pages illicit a squeal of delight every. single. time. As our daughter is still quite young (12 months) the animal pictures are the most appealing part of this book for us, but I anticipate this book will be very helpful in facilitating dialogue about feelings in the coming years as she matures as well.
Whatever the stage, The Animal In Me will likely be a favorite in our house for years to come. We look forward to more children’s books by Laurie Tye and Thomas Mangelsen!”

“The Animal in Me has been great for both our 4 year old and 1 year old. We have struggled to help our 4 year old to explain how he is feeling. After a couple times of reading the book, he is now able to explain his feelings through naming the animals. Our 1 year old loves the pictures and makes the noises – extra big roars for the bear and the lion. I would definitely recommend it. Great pictures and it’s a great way to explain feelings.”
