I believe our ancestral heritage plays a very important part to who we are.
I love the western culture because that is where my roots began.
I came from a line of farmers, cattle ranchers, world famous horse trainers, whom John Wayne himself bought horses from, and an inductee to the All American Cowboy Hall of Fame.
Although I did not grow up on a ranch or even a farm, the city did not take the
western blood out of me.
As I embrace my western roots and appreciate the life of the cowboy,
I want to cultivate it, share it and most importantly preserve it.
About Cowboy Poetry
Cowboy Poetry is a form of poetry and ballads that grew from a tradition of cowboys telling stories on the trail drives moving cattle across the western United States at the end of the 19th Century. It can have you laughing so hard your belly hurts one minute and crying so hard your heart hurts the next,
